House wrens are a staple here and tend to occupy every available nest in sight. I never tire of their bold, loud ways. Such sass in such a tiny bird! One thing I particularly love about watching the wrens during nesting season is their affinity to bring back various spider species to their hungry babies. I love sitting with my binoculars to see what kind of spider they find each time they go out to forage. In this piece I imagined an abandoned web with no spider at home…maybe I like spiders too much! A little bokeh lighting rounded out the composition providing a little dab of abstract element.
