This was my golden retriever Barley who died at the age of 12 due to advanced hemangiosarcoma. After working on this piece the summer after his passing, I decided to donate the artwork to Golden Rescue, an organization I have supported for many years, in hopes that it might raise money at one of their fundraising auctions.
