Featuring a great blue heron, this is another in a series of experiments with bokeh light incorporated into an abstract element within the work. The light source also provides backlighting for the subject. My challenge in this piece was to indicate the strength of the light source softening downward toward the heron as well as the backlight fading from the back to the front of the bird.
